ART DIRECTION, GRAPHIC DESIGN
I have been working as a Design Director and Senior Graphic Designer at Great Performances since 2016. This is a collection of digital and print materials I’ve created for the brand over the last eight years.
I love being a part of a company with such strong values. Great Performances considers the impact of their activities on the environment, the community, and the sustainability of thier actions in every facet of the business.

Mae Mae cafe is located in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx in NYC. Mae Mae is a plant shop and 100% plant-based cafe. My two favorite places in one!
I made this illustration envisioning what a perfect afternoon in the cafe would feel like. The vibrant red walls of the space and the logo color came together at the same time.
Little Birch is a new cafe opening in the public garden space at 550 Madison Avenue. They offer a local and seasonal selection of soups, salads, smoothies, and sandwiches.
The intention of this logo is to depict a lovely, momentary interaction with nature. A bird on a birch tree is a commonplace site, even in the city, but only truly observed and enjoyed when you take a moment to sit in the park.
The typeface “Citrus” was chosen for its strong vertical movement, inline highlight, and subtle imperfections that speak to nature and a handmade gesture.
The color palette of goldenrod, slate blue, and cool charcoal was pulled from a photograph I took of beautiful, multi-dimensional birch bark. Anyone who thinks birch bark is black and white isn’t looking hard enough!

The Sylvia Center is a fantastic organization dedicated to teaching young people about the connection between food and health. They provide nutrition-focused, culinary-based programming for students across all five boroughs.
Every summer they host a Farm-to-Table dinner at Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook, NY.
I have had the honor of designing this event since 2017. My projects include digital and print save the dates, Invitations, event graphics, programs, and collateral. (Almost always featuring hand-paper illustrations.)
